Mary, Joseph and little lamb! That is superhumanly astonishing in it's own aura of brilliance.

Fautless, undeniably faultless.

I mean, well, mind blowingly excellently well painted.

You must really be proud of yourself, and you've certainly pushed the benchmark higher for all of us, again!

Worth no less than a 10.

Thanks! I had a time with the reds - highlights can easily become too orange or too pink (and we can't have a pink Khand!). I've had better luck making my shadows darker as opposed to making the highlights hotter when it comes to red. I'm pretty happy with him overall.

I just noticed something: the reins! They are terrific. I mean, they flow so well into the rest of the figure that I only just noticed them.

Wow! This is great! Truly stellar painting!
The blacks, the reds, the leather, the banners are all excellent.
By the way, how do you do such realistic looking grass?!

Thank you! I use a mixture of GW static grass and some by a manufacturer called miniNatur that you can get at scenicexpress.com. These come in little tufts (you can get different lengths and colors), which make them easier to handle and I can get a thicker bunch placed where I want it. I really like the grass on your Khand, too, awcho - would you mind sharing your recipe?

Commander Cool - thanks for your compliments! The reins are just paper that I formed using watered down Elmers glue.

I've just been using GW static grass. For the long grass I cut little tufts of Woodland Scenics field grass and glued them on in little clumps.

Paper reins, that's brilliant! Probably a lot easier to handle then the Glide floss that I had to cut and glue on.

Hmm - This is the 1st time that I have given a 10 - I would normally not because there may be something better around the corner - but this is at least a 9.6/9.7 so 10 it is

Well done

Well done, Dúliniel, very well done indeed. Amazing piece of work, especially the reins -- they blow me away.
