The gloves were base coated with a 1:1 mix of Scorched Brown & Chaos Black. They were then highlighted with
Scorched Brown. The highest points were highlighted with Bestial Brown. Mix a little of the Scorched Brown with
the Bestial Brown to stop the highlights from being so stark.
The belts and straps were base coated Scorched Brown, then highlighted with Bestial Brown. The highest points were
highlighted with a 1:1 mix of Bestial Brown and Bleached Bone. The hair was lightly dry brushed Codex Grey.

Step 1
Clean up the minis per your normal method. Undercoating was Chaos Black spray and two coats of thinned down Chaos black.
Armour was base coated with 1:1 mix of Tin Bitz & Chaos Black. Tin Bitz was then dry brushed on, followed by a
light dry brushing of Boltgun Metal. The highest points where then highlighted with Mithril Silver. The armour
areas were then washed with a 2:1:1:6 mix of Brown Ink, Black Ink, PVA Glue & Water.
Step 2
Skin areas are base coated with Scorched Brown. Dark flesh was then used. Highlights were added with a 2:1 mix
of Dark Flesh & Dwarf Flesh. Vary this mix between figures to get some variety. Extra highlights were also
added to the face. The teeth were picked out in Bleached Bone.
Step 3
A general touch up was done on all unpainted areas. Miscellaneous bits and pieces are still to be done. The
cloth areas were base coated Chaos Black. Codex Grey was gradually added to the Chaos Black to create highlights.
Varying the ratios of the mix on different figures will create variation, while maintaining the coherency of the army.
Step 4
The final step, basing. Base the model to match the rest of your army. My models are based the following way.
Basecoat Scorched Brown, then dry brushed Bestial Brown, Snakebite Leather and Bleached Brown. The rocky areas
are base coated with Scorched Brown, then dry brushed Codex Grey, Fortress Grey and Skull White. If you don't
clean your brush between coats you will get a nice blending between layers.
