Galadhrim...Guard?
Ha, just when I said I wouldn't come back and do any more tonight, I surprise even myself! Fountain Guard by any other name, I would say...but what do you think? Comment here!

I like 'em! I've always been a proponent of more armored troops for the third age/wood elves. They look pretty cool and I imagine they'll probably get the Body Guard rule which is something new for that faction.
I think the models look pretty good, I can definitely see where they remind you of the Citadel Guard though, with the long capes and tall spears.

Yeah, they're not bad, are they? I like them a lot - though I don't like their price at all! - especially because of the level of detail. They're middlingly-good dramatic poses, as well...
But I did just look at them, and think "Haven't I seen these somewhere before?" They're obviously not from the same base sculpting-wise, but I would say that the inspiration is plain for all to see...right down to the name!

SD! Looks like you've mastered the art of the Palantir homepage graphic! Well, done, sir! I despaired of being the only person to ever be able to manage this. Thanks so much for stepping up and figuring this out. I've got some pointers for refining your technique that I'll PM you with.
Awesome!

Lol, thanks - as I said on my 'Beregond' post, I'm a bit slow ATM, but given practice, it'll get a lot faster...this one took a bare 20 mins(!).
Pointers would be good - thanks!

Very...interesting. I agree that it will be nice to have some more diversity to the elven forces available, but as SD said, they look very similar to Citadel Guards. Not bad though.

I like the models, but i find that they are very static. I personally love khazad guard cause they are very dynamic. And if these models (guard or not) were a bit more dynamic it would have been just perfect. But i can't get everything can i. :)

Kings of Men are long gone buddy - quite hard to get hold of now. Try ebay!

How can anybody say these look like Citadel or Fountain Court guard? Just because they have a spear? O'h Cummon! Go and get a model and compare.
And just why are the spears to long? (they are pikes in WoTR)
The only problem I have, and thats the same with all the metal mini's, and thats the price, so I won't be getting any.

That is a very astute observation, LOE. Yep, sure looks like you're right...

Out of curiosity. How would i go about making a background fade to blue so it would go with the palantir graphics?

I don't understand the question. Which Palantir graphics are you referring to? The ones on the homepage fade to gray, just like this one...?
