The "Sons of Gondor" Have Arrived!
We're pleased and honored to premier Sons of Gondor, a new supplement that you'll find only on The Palantir! Over two years in the making, this monumental supplement is the work of the Gondor Allegiance and features nearly 100 pages of Gondorian goodness; it is an absolute must-have for all who march under the banner of the White Tree! You'll find encyclopedic background material, all new army lists, a ton of tactical notes, house rules for the Palantiri (and more), "missing" hero profiles from the Gondorian Chronicles, new troop types, a slew of scenarios, a passel of painting guides, and a few terrain articles thrown in for good measure!
Special thanks to BoromirCaptainofGondor and Southdunedain, as well as the rest of their team for all the hard work. Congrats to you all!

I'd just like to thank Taliesin for his help in releasing SoG - it's been something of a struggle over the past 24 hours to get it up on the site. So thanks for persisting!
And generally, sorry if it takes a while to download - but there has to be a price for so many pages, and I'm afraid that's it...
Cheers,
SD.

Both of you should take a dollar from petty cash, It looks very slick (compared to the draft I first saw) and the price is a bargain! For everyone else who had input.. I'm buying the chocolate frogs..nom nom nom.
Great to see it released after all this time..Fantastic.

WOW!
You guys put a lot of work into this and it really shows, it's a very well-done supplement all-around. Congratulations! I perused through and paid special attention to all the house rules and they look great! I like the terrain section a lot as well.

Hirumith, you can't imagine how many hours have gone into this...it staggers me to think of it. I would estimate that my hours alone have been in the region of 250...and that must be at least tripled in total.
Which reminds me, I must have been more-than-ordinarily brain dead last night, as I forgot to thank all the contributors. They've done a fantastic job - el rabbito in particular - and without them, SoG would still be a very long way from completion. So thank you again...I really hope I missed no one out of the credits on page 3.
And yes, SotDL, and ER's project, not to mention moderating TP...life's all go! Mind you, it'll be nice to have a back-seat role on these, rather then an editorial one...I've learnt how stressful editing can be!
Cheers,
SD.

By the way, what do other people from other sites have to say about it?

I haven't yet posted the news on TLA, but the thread on OR got overwhelmingly positive remarks - from some of their most senior members as well, which was nice. There was some costructive criticism as well - but fair enough; you can only learn from mistakes.
Points specially admired were the artwork, painting and scenery articles...and the content as a whole has been praised as being well-balanced and authoritative. Some concern was expressed over the house rules, and member showcases - but fair enough; that's not bad going in 94 pages! Some people thought that the tendency of photos to creep over the runes at the bottom of the pages was a mistake...but little do they know I left that in to break up the monotony a little! Fair enough point, but it really was a deliberate decision on my part.
So yes, that's good. A TLA post will follow sometime in the next few days.

Haven't been able to fully read it, but from the looks of it, it's good!
Very nice work!
Oh, and I also really like the artwork.

An excellent fan produced supplement. You chaps should be proud of your achievements. Interesting histories, characters, scenarios, terrain and guides. I particularly liked the conversion bit - but then it is one of my favourite parts of the hobby.
Congratulations on finally bringing this through to see the light of day, and thanks to you all for your persistent efforts and for sharing them with the rest of us.
