Allegiance Forums

Hiya folks!

We've been working diligently on the Allegiance Forums as of late. You've no doubt noticed the change in being able to view the name and last post title of ALL allegiances.

Since making that change, we've received quite a mixed review of responses! The Allegiance Forums are part of our upcoming online campaign system and as such, will no doubt become a lot more active as the launch date becomes closer.

For now, we'd like your feedback concerning the change in the forums. Do you like being able to see them all listed or do you prefer only seeing YOUR allegiance? Some believe it clutters the message boards up while others think it's great knowing they're all out there. We want your opinion! Please take a moment to vote in the poll provided so that we ensure we take the direction the community prefers.

I personally think it might not be so good to be able to see what the most recent post in a certain forum was. The 'enemy' might see the title of the subject we are talking about! :)

Think of it as using a "Palantir" - fairly apt don't you think!

The ability to see the title of of a thread is of little real use: people will start posting titles like "Rohan's Secret Plan to Attack Moria" when the real topic for discussion will be how to roast horse-chestnuts or something (now there's an unleasant thought).

There's a potential for some interesting mind games by leaving them visible. I like it.

The final decision has been made to change the allegiance forums back to the original "hidden" mode. A number of factors led to this, not the least of which is the fact that the forum list is really packed and seemed crowded to a number of people. While many of you either liked seeing the other forums or didn't mind it, the deciding factor came down to what is best for the most members. Since more members are bothered by the "clutter" than like it, logic dictates we switch it back. This will be finalized within the next 24 hours.

Please still take advantage of the general (War Table) and evil/good forums and, of course, your own allegiance's forum for further discussion.
