hey guys,
i think that DM is recruiting for Mordor, just that. he is not talking smack about any allegiance at all, so the whole debate of whose allegiance is better needs to take place somewhere else. lets not take over his thread!
if you do indeed play primarily with mordor, or have an interest in it, i highly recommend you join up with DM, he seems to be a good leader!
best,
Sky
Thank you Sky.
From here on any posts that are not related to questions about joining the Mordor Allegence or posts I considder to be 'smack talk' will simply be given a negative renown followed by deletion.
I don't go in for the whole talking 'smack' thing, I think its absolutley pointless and a waist of bandwidth. IMO allegences are for building your knowledge and comming up with ways to better your chosen favorite force, there are a place to talk to other people who enjoy the same force as you, share ideas and tactics for beating other armies. As we know all armies have their strenths and weaknesses, this is a place to learn how to harness that power, after all "knowledge is power" :superman:

DM i absolutley agree with you on this. Talking 'smack' is pointless.
Now back on topic, mordor seems to me like a great way to improve your battle skill. They have a large troop choice, and the units are not too tough so you need to be carefull on the gameplay. I like these type of forces. They keep me thinking during the game.

Mordor is an army that uses complex and interesting tactics. While the Elves just have to sit back and shoot, and the Uruk-hai just form a phalanx and hope, Mordor needs good and well thought-out strategies in order to make the best out of its weak, yet cheap, troops. The Refused Flank, the Hannibul Strategy, and Divide and Conquer are just some of the interesting tactics out there. So if you're open minded and a real fan of tactics, then join Mordor. Otherwise, join someone else.
P.S. If any of my post was considered "smack talk", please knock down my renown. I was just trying to make a point. And please don't just take off my renown just 'cuz you can.

The people we gave the moderator powers to have more responsibility and honor than to do that(I hope! :veryhappy: ) Anyone caught doing that will be punished accordingly.
On the Mordor part: I think facing a skilled mordor leader will be hard to defeat, the many troop choices and strengths/weaknesses are too varied. If the Mordor captain knows his army and his opponents, he will probably take the field.

True - some of the heroes in Mordor are very hard to kill - i played about 6 games 600pts each with Sauron woithout the ring - he died only in one, i did a stupid move and got cornered by Elrohir, Elladan, Radagast, and Gil Galad but still hes impressive and itll most likely be my choice for the next tournament... Anyways even a non Sauron Mordor army is awesome, the problem is that people take it for a swarm army, these people never have opposed a true mordor player. I have played mordor for about 2 years now (longer than Harad!!!) And its true power lies in the *huge* range of *many* many many many different units, you have Beasts, Named and Unnamed powerful heroes, Many elite and normal units, elites are stronger than people think, siege engines (for which NO one so far had prepared in tthis forum when they proposed their armies sheets) the siege ballista is an super hyper powerful addition to all forces exeeding 600 pts! Also add in the cavalary and Mordors allies in the army and it WILL be indestructible...
Im still for Harad but i am an Mordor player too...

Just go to "Menu", click "Edit Profile", and to your left there should be a whole bunch of options. Click "Group Memberships" and you can take it from there.
