If you join the Shire we will give you all the pipeweed you can smoke;
or maybe we'll just give you the privilege to be in the winning allegiance in the upcoming online campaign. :D

I would join, but I dont have the money for a big(ish) hobbit force. My current force is too hero heavy, and i'd rather use the gondorian army i already have, sorry!

Those little guys are the heart and soul of the good side and if we have to travel through the mines of moria, across treachorous elvish lands and avoid suspicious horsemen to get to Isengard and stop them from getting to the hobbits, we will!

Those who survive the Mumakil will be overrun by Orc reinforcements (you Haradrim wouldn't go ravage the Shire without out us, would you?). Face it, without Gondor, Rohan, or the Elves to block our attacks, you'd have been overrun ages ago.

Perhaps so... but the thing is they DO have the great bulwarks of Gondor, Rohan, the Elves and even the Dwarves to protect them. You shall not pass us!
For those of you not interested in joining the great Gondor, the Shire is a viable alternative. The sheer numbers of models (and hence bows) you can have in a Shire force gives you a great advantage when fighting average size forces.
As the thread title would suggest, the Shire is in Dire need of members, so once again, if you won't join Gondor, join the Shire :smile:

We do not work for Gondor, we are not their slaves or subject. If Gondor mind thinks otherwise i am sure the elves will stand side by side for the elves are said to be wise. And the dwarves will allways be a trusted ally.

Exaxctly you guys have no hounor. If it wasn't for us Free People Of Middle Earth mordor would have crushed you guys along time ago and then Isengard would rule middle Earth wiping everything else out the goblins would have perished. The Same with the harad allgences and mordor. Being left Isgengard, then it would have started fighting between itself
what does that have to do with honour??? Well honour and fighting for a reason is the most unproductive way of leading war - it leads to dumb and rash decisions! Honour is a defect...

You make the point that the man has something worth dying for, i'm not arguing that, but that by no means insures victory. For example, I could take a bullet to the chest for my friend. I have done something quite noble and honorable, but in no way are my chances of surviving the wound improved.The man is, frankly, screwed unless he has incredible battle prowess or strength, or the wild men are all terrible fighters, or a combination of both.
And just to correct Heavywood (don't take this the wrong way, i'm defending you) while numbers increase your chances of victory, they don't guarentee it. Numbers can be overcome by a number of things such as tactics, stength of individual soldiers, terrain, and so on and so forth...

I think if you want to do join the Hobbits then go ahead join them have a lovely time eating 48151623342 meals a day and being jolly, talking with friends and having a generally great time.

That is why the forces of evil will triumph at the end of the day, the massive numbers of Mordor, Moria, Isengard and the Sepent Kingdoms and some pretty good strategery to go with them!
I do have to give the forces of good one thing though, they brew beer, and that is definitely the fasted way to my heart......
