Paladin Took
For this model the conversion is nothing more than a simple hand swap with the 'Fatty' Bolger model. I wanted to keep Paladin Took
looking different than my Bilbo model so the hand swap was the simplest way to achieve this and keep the Paladin model mostly intact.
Carefully cut away the hat hand at the sleeve with the jeweler's saw and file down the rough edges; do the same to the 'Fatty' Bolger
model's left hand. Remember to cut slowly and wear safety glasses as mention in the previous article when working with these saws. Next
place a small drop of glue on the handless arm and put a very small piece of green stuff into the glue, then place the hand from the
'Fatty' Bolger model carefully into the putty/glue mixture. Doing it this way makes for a stronger bond than just metal on metal. Once
the model is dry, paint him to your liking.

Everard Proudfoot

To create Mr. Proudfoot just remove his left hand and do a simple hand swap with Paladin Took and then sculpt some extra
bits of hair out of a small amount of green stuff to finish the model off. First carefully cut off the left hands of Paladin
Took and the 'Fatty' Bolger models and as stated above file down any rough areas. Next clip off the very top of the tuft of
hair on top of his head and make his hair a bit more “fluffy” with some nifty green stuff sculpting. Next glue the hat hand to
the 'Fatty' model as described above and allow him to dry for several hours or overnight then paint him to whatever color scheme
you feel will look best.

Tom 'Farmer' Cotton
One most important characters in the Scouring of the Shire chapter of The Return of the King was Tom Cotton; and I felt we needed
to have a conversion done of him.
Farmer Cotton started out life as a hobbit sheriff. Carefully and slowly remove the head from the sheriff model with your jeweler's
saw. Try not to damage the sheriff's head and put it away when you have removed it so this can be used on some other conversion.
Now we need a head for Tom. Remember that we saved the head off of Farmer Maggot when we did the 'Gaffer' Gamgee conversion. As
we do with most head swaps we need to build up a bit of a neck first before we can just glue on the head so, place a small “dot”
of glue on the bottom of the head and adhere small amount of green stuff to it. Place the same size “dot” of glue on the headless
sheriff and put the head in place. Take your sculpting tool or your hobby knife and sculpt your neck and any extra hair you want. I
would suggest using a little bit of green stuff to the top of his head make him look a little different than Farmer Maggot.
For the final touches I added a pumpkin made from green stuff. Allow him to dry overnight and then paint him to resemble the
photo above if you wish.

Everard Proudfoot was an elderly hobbit who lived a quiet life in Hobbiton and adored his lovely large hairy feet thus prompted
his preference to being called "Proudfeet" over Proudfoot. He lived long enough to have a small part during the Scouring of the
Shire in which he led a militia group against Sharkey's ruffians. Though he didn't survive, the attack was nevertheless a success
and the hobbits began driving the ruffians from the Shire.
Wargear
Everard Proudfoot carries a hat which counts as a hand weapon.
Special Rules
Old. See page 120 of the RotK rulebook for details.
Resistant to Magic. See page 47 of the RotK rulebook for details.
Throw Stones. See page 60 of the RotK rulebook for details.
** Everard Proudfoot is a character from the movies and was based on Odo Proudfoot from the books. Odo died before the Scouring of
the Shire ever happened, so I decided to merge these two characters so he can be used as a House Rules character for your hobbit armies. **

Fate: 2 |
Tolman Cotton (also known as Tom or Farmer Cotton) was born in TA2941. Tom Cotton married Lily Brown and they had five children: Tolman
(also called Tom), Rose, Wilcome (called Jolly), Bowman (called Nick), and Carl (called Nibs). Rose Cotton later married Samwise Gamgee
after the events of the Scouring of the Shire.
During the Scouring of the Shire, Farmer Cotton wanted to oppose the Sharkey's men who had taken over the Shire, but he was unable to
convince enough hobbits to rise up against them. Instead he protected his wife and daughter from the ruffians and he also gave extra
food to 'Gaffer' Gamgee during this time.
On November 2, 3019, after the four travelers had come home, Samwise came to Tom explained that they were rallying the hobbits to
drive out Sharkey and the ruffians. Farmer Cotton gathered his sons Tom, Jolly, and Nick and took them Bywater to join the fight. Farmer
Cotton provided information on the numbers and strengths of the ruffians and explained what had been happening in the Shire over the
past year while the four hobbits had been away.
Sharkey's men soon came to Bywater and Farmer Cotton confronted them alone in the street while the other hobbits quietly surrounded them.
The ruffian leader was killed and the others soon surrendered.
The next day on November 3, Farmer Cotton and his sons fought in the Battle of Bywater where they defeated Sharkey's men and drove them
out of the Shire for good. After the battle, Farmer Cotton led Frodo and an escort of two dozen hobbits to Bag End to finally confront
Sharkey.
Wargear
Farmer Cotton carries a stick that can count as a two-handed weapon.
Special Rules
Unquestioned Bravery. Farmer Cotton's bravery causes all hobbits to pass any Courage tests that have to be made while within
6"/14cm of him.
Resistant to Magic. See page 47 of the RotK rulebook for details.
Throw Stones. See page 60 of the RotK rulebook for details
